Description

A Periodontist is a qualified dentist who has completed further postgraduate training and is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and other gum related problems.

Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital. He then worked in an oral and maxillo-facial surgery department, followed by several positions for various health authorities and general practice.

He completed four years full time specialist training in Periodontology at Guys London Hospital. He was awarded a Masters Degree (MSc) in Periodontology and Masters in Clinical Dentristry (M.Clin.Dent) from Guys Hospital. This was followed by the award by examination of the membership in restorative dentistry (MRD) by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Algraffee accepts referrals for gum and dental implant assessments and treatments  from dentists in London and Kent. He is also an implant mentor for local dentists. His previous positions were as a Specialist Clinical Teacher at Guys Hospital, as a Postgraduate Dental Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and as a Senior Dental Officer for Hammersmith and Fulham Trust.

Hatem now dedicates his time to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in private practice, as a mentor/clinical coach for Astra Implant system, and as a co-organizer of a 10 day Astra Implant course
