Dr Amer Sheikh is a General Practitioner specialising in the holistic treatment of all types of musculoskeletal pain. He compliments conventional medicine with acupuncture, cupping, hypnosis and psychological therapies according to his patient\'s needs to achieve optimal results. 

You can expect comprehensive assessment and management based on the best available up-to-date evidence. Dr Sheikh is an instructor for the British Medical Acupuncture Society and a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain. He writes regularly in the leading international acupuncture journal \"Acupuncture in Medicine\" and is frequently invited to present at national and international conferences. He is currently Musculoskeletal Lead for NW Surrey CCG where he is engaged in commissioning the best available musculoskeletal pain services for the region.

Conditions treated include back pain, neck pain, headaches including migraine, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, golfer\'s elbow, hip pain, ankle pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, patella tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and all manner of sports injuries. 

As well as pain-related conditions, Dr Sheikh offers treatment for infertility and PCOS, dizziness and vertigo, hay hever, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and irritable bowel syndrome or irritable bladder.

Dr Sheikh practices at Prime Health in Weybridge, Surrey. He has access to extensive on-site diagnostics including the latest MRI scanner, ultrasound, x-ray and blood tests. In addition, the centre boasts a range of health professionals who can compliement treatment with physiotherapy, nutrition, exercise and orthopaedics.
