La description

Simone Buehner (formerly Davis), owner of Barefoot Medicine, is a highly experienced acupuncturist and herbalist.  She is accredited by the British Acupuncture council and worked for them for four years as a Professional Development Lead assisting acupuncturists across Wales, Herefordshire & Shropshire with CPD and training.  She is also a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Simone sees patients with a very wide variety of healthcare matters, some of which are \'known\' conditions such as unexplained infertility, eczema, stress & anxiety, PTSD, musculo-skeletal pain, menopausal symptoms, children\'s health, side-effects of conventional medicines etc - but sometimes people come saying they \'just don\'t feel right\', so we work together to get that person back on track.

Simone is also a nutritional therapists and always puts nutrition at the heart of any consultation advising patients how they can help themselves to heal between treatments.    Some of Simone\'s long-term regular patients travel over 100 miles for treatment!

All the treatments are tailored to individual patients and following the initial consultation, Simone will draw up a treatment strategy that may combine traditional and 5-element acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, herbals, heat therapy, massage and nutritional advice.  We will also agree goals for treatment that will be reviewed every five sessions to ensure you are getting what you need and are seeing results.

Areas of special interest are cancer care in Wales and we help many patients to deal with the side effects of treatment for lung cancer,  breast cancer, testicular cancer, bowel cancer and other conditions that involve adverse side effects from chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

We are also proud to work closely with military veterans and help them deal with post-conflict mental health disorders such as PTSD, stress, nightmares, social anxiety, panic attacks etc as well as any physical pain and on-going difficulties they may have. In my experience, this is where acupuncture comes into its own yet is so little known about.
