SERUM BIOMEDICAL INSTITUTE is an advanced research and development facility located at Evinu 8, Athens, Greece. It was founded in 1988 and it specializes in the fields of and biogenetics (insert link to DNA Engineering), biochemistry, and human fertility. We originally focused primarily on our IVF Services but in the early 1990s we began to shift our emphasis to biotechnology, particularly DNA Engineering. we have since pioneered new techniques in recombinant technology, which have filed patents on. Using our proprietary technology we have developed extremely accurate and efficient ways for vector expression of genes in both mammalian and bacterial cell lines. This can be used to produce superior grade raw material for a wide range of biopharmaceutical products such as Hepatitis-B Vaccine, Hormone (pituitary and placental), Factor-VIII, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), Anti-HIV Drugs and others.
